Team Gryphon Football Club (Sponsored by BNH)
Team Gryphon are an 11 a side mens football team competing in the Blackmore Vale League Division 1. Its their fourth season since forming in 2006 and the team continue to go from strength to strength.
The teams home kit is red with black arms and with a yellow BNH logo to the front with yellow numbers (new for 09/10 season) and the away kit is blue with black arms. They play their home games at The Gryphon Park situated behind The Gryphon Leisure Centre, Bristol Road, Sherborne, Dorset.
Buckland Newton Hire members Brad Perrett and George Hill have played for Team Gryphon since 2008 and have signed new contracts for the 2009/2010 season! Brad plays as part of Team Gryphons strike force up front and George is the man between the posts in goal.
BNH Allstars are a 7 a side mens football team competing in the Sherborne Soccerpitch Premiership. Its their third season since forming in 2007 they continue to excel against teams with much more experience. Their 1st full season in Division 1 of the Sherborne Soccerpitch league saw them go the entire season un beaten and win the league by a land slide instantly promoting them to the premiership.
Their very first season in the top flight premiership was nearly as successful as they finished second to three time winners Dynamo Kebab. The aim is to win the league this season!
Aswell as league success BNH Allstars entered their first ever tournament competing in the Gryphon Leisure Centre 'Super 7's'. BNH Allstars shocked everyone by winning the tournament at the first time of asking beating the holders PAMFA Wizards 2-1 in the final! We will be back next year to defend the title that's for sure!
Buckland Newton Hire members Brad Perrett and George Hill have played for BNH Allstars since they began. The rest of the team consist of Joe Buckler, Billy Paul, Dean Taylor, Ryan Hughes, Gareth Peirson, Domonic Drabik and Chris Hamblin.
